We are a small family farm located in Northeast
Oklahoma in a small community just east of Tahlequah. This farmstead,
sitting along the western ridge of a small canyon, is the perfect
place to call home.
We both grew up on small farms in Oklahoma and
in 2002 we purchased our own little piece of land where we could grow
our own food to feed our family and our extended family. Upon arrival
to our farm, the first livestock that was purchased were dairy goats.
The dairy goats have provided us with not only an abundance of love
and amusement, but with a plentiful supply of fresh milk and cheese
as well.
As the dairy goat herd has grown, the decision
was finally made to take the dairy operation to the next level and in
the spring of 2011 we officially became a grade A goat dairy and a
grade A processing facility, becoming the first goat farm in Oklahoma
to produce farmstead goat cheese, milk and yogurt on a commercial level.
All of our products are produced totally on the
farm using the milk from our own herd of (mostly) Nubian dairy goats.
Milking begins at 3:00 each morning and then again at 3:00 each
afternoon. Following the milking and feeding of the livestock, the
milk is pasteurized and is then either bottled as fluid milk or is
processed into cheese or yogurt. There is absolutely no comparison to
the quality and freshness of our cheese and milk products.
We have always raised a family garden and have
greatly enjoyed the fruits of our labor. In 2007 we began growing a
market garden. Our main goals in the market garden is to provide a
great product for people in the community at an affordable price.
In addition to the dairy and the market garden
we also have a beautiful flock of laying hens who dine on grasses,
weeds and bugs each day, but are also supplemented with whole grains
to insure that they are receiving all of their needed nutrients and
they dutifully bless us with their bounty of large brown eggs each
day. These farm fresh free range eggs are fabulous!
Any of our products can be purchased from the
farm or you can email us with your order, however, since we are a
working farm, the best way to get your products is to come to one of
the farmers' markets that we attend on a weekly basis or go to one of
the local stores listed on the right. You will find our market
schedule at the top right of this page as well.
As a small family farm we are excited for you
to try and enjoy our products and we can't wait to meet you!
